1 Peter 2:5 says that believers in Christ we are being built up as a spiritual house.
Apostle Peter explains that every believer is an individual living Stone which finally gets added up to build a house which is Spiritual for God. Every believer has life and is not dead because Christ has given us life. 4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house[a] to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-5 NIV)

Apostle Paul also helps us to understand that idea of being alive in God through the Holy Spirit of God in Romans 8:9 and Ephesians 2:22, He says that the unity of believers helps them to grow together as a whole building that is being fitted together and growing into a holy temple in the Lord. This then makes it clear that every believer is a house where God lives.(1 and 2 Chronicles). As we worship God,
His presence comes down and ministers to every individual then the whole team to the Glory of God.

Advantages of being a Part of God’s Spiritual House
1. We are able to receive God’s Grace. Sin had corrupted and messed us up but the salvation of God has disconnected each one of us from the past and given us a new beginning in Christ.
2. We have life from God flowing from our relationship with Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:3)
3. We have Unity with God and with each other (Romans 5:1, John 17)

This Unity allows us to flow in the Grace of collective priesthood so that we can give sacrifices that are worthy and acceptable before God through our lifestyle and what we do with our bodies, through worship that is true( 1 Peter 2:5, Romans 12:1-2 and Peter 2:12, 1 Peter 1:14–16)
We need to appreciate the fact that this Spiritual house, has Jesus Christ as the Corner Stone. He is the first stone that God laid, so that each believer can be joined to him. How then is our relationship with Christ? Do we respect and value His position as the main reason we exisit in salvation and the entire Kingdom of God?
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV)

Today God is giving us a second Chance to check our lives and live as Part of the main Spiritual house he is building up.
