TEXT: JOB 19:1-29
Job was a godly and wealthy man (1:1-3). But during one of those moments when Satan was in the presence of God, he was granted a limited access to Job, with which he used to torment Job (vv.6-12). Even after Job had gone through a terrible and painful ordeal caused by Satan, he still said that his Redeemer lives (v.25) and his heart still yearned for Him (v.27). The Redeemer is the same as Avenger, Guarantor or Vindicator. Job had faith to see God in bodily form after his body had decayed (v.26), even though the doctrine of resurrection was not yet well-developed at the time. Job was one of the first people to talk about the resurrection of the body.

As you come to God in prayer, be sure that your Vindicator, Avenger lives and that you will see Him face to face; this will be in heaven, after your body had been transformed and resurrected.

Meditate on verse 25. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Heavenly and Merciful Father, and the Lord of heaven and earth, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for the assurance that You live and You are with me all the time, in all circumstances. Amen.
