On April 6, 2024 while presiding over the 50th wedding anniversary of Rt. Hon Amama and Jacqueline Mababzi, the Archbishop of Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu appealed to the congregation to mobilize resource to complete the building of the new Cathedral.

In response, some individuals, Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwe, the Deputy Speaker of Ugandan Parliament, pledged UGX 53M, Hon. Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister for ICT and National Guidance, pledged UGX 10M and the Honorary Consul of Vietnam to Uganda, King Caesar Mulenga, pledged to cover the cost of slanting windows.

On Tuesday, H. E Mulenga delivered UGX 250 Million to cover the cost of slanting windows for the new All Saints Cathedral sanctuary. Alongside him, the Honorary consul of Eswatini Quillino Bamwine pledged 10 Million, Hon Stephen Bamwanga contributed 5 Million and Rt. Hon Rugunda pledged 2 Million.

While delivering the money, King Caesar thanked Rt. Hon. Rugunda for invinting him to the service.

I thank Hon Rugunda who invited me to attend Amama’s function and it’s from this point that I got a chance to contribute towards the kingdom of God. Whenever I get a chance to serve God, I grab it with a blessing” Caesar Said.

He added that he looked at the significance of widows and since they bring in fresh air for parishioners while in worship, I decided to contribute that because I am always reminded that whatever we have even life is God’s.

Two former Prime Ministers, Mbabazi and Rugunda, Hon Bahati, the Assistant Bishop Mutebi, Hon Bamwanga, the Provost among others attended the function.
