As we continue in the series of the fear of God and service, we arrive at the core of this month’s series which is The benefits of fearing God as follows;

  1. Divine Preservation. This is God’s way of shielding man from every kind of evil.When we fear God, He supernaturally defends us from all kind of evil. (Deut 6:24) Moses was emphasizes that the fear of God is for our own good because it brings Spiritual cover. We see the Lord preserving the people of Israel when he led them into the wilderness for 40 years. The Bible says that their clothes did not wear out on them neither did their sandals wear off on their feet. (Deut.29:5)

    We see this kind of preservation in the life of Job… (Job 1:8-10), Job is honored by God ,he is approved as a true , faithful,upright, and blameless servant who feared the Lord and because of this,God preserved him. This even Satan knew that God had put a hedge of protection around Job, his household and all that he had on every side.

  2. Deep Spiritual Knowledge (Proverbs 1:7) encourages us that a God fearing attitude is very key for those who desire meaningful and deeper scriptural knowledge because true and deep Spiritual knowledge is only imparted in those who fear the Lord by walking in His ways and delighting in His
    commands.

  3. Divine Wisdom (Job 28:28) accredits the fear of the Lord as not an action of wisdom but wisdom itself! (Psalm 111:10) the fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom. Brethren when we fear the Lord, He avails to us His divine and unfathomable wisdom. We are able to discern every situation because the fear of God is the key to this treasure and the psalmist tells us that His Secret is with those who fear Him and that He makes known His covenant to them. (Psalm 25:14)

    God is looking for a generation that He will use to exercise Spiritual dominion here on earth, But it has to be those who will demonstrate a higher level of reverence, honor and a life of blamelessness before Him.

    GOD BLESS YOU
