Christmas greetings to you in the Name of our coming King and Savior Jesus Christ!
It is once again that time of the year when people get excited over the Christmas holiday and end of year festivities. Indeed, there many reasons to celebrate the goodness of the Lord for but more importantly, to celebrate the reason for the season – Jesus Christ.

The birth of Jesus reminds us that God is still thinks about us so dearly. While we were dead in sin, he chose to send his son, Jesus Christ, out of the comfort of heaven to identify with sinners like us. (Eph 2:1-7)

As a church, we bring our profound gladness to you for standing with us since the year begun. You have partnered with us in spreading the Gospel, through prayer, giving and dedicating your precious time. May God bless you abundantly.
However, we bring sympathies to you who suffered illness, lost loved ones, jobs, businesses and others might be still nursing sorrow in different ways. We commit you to the able hands of our Savior Jesus Christ for renewal of your strength.

As we come to the end of the year, we would like to bring your attention to different vices in our society, some that have caused rampant death lately; accidents, theft, short and long illnesses, among others. As some of you travel to the different destinations, please be extra vigilant on the road, and mind what you eat or drink.

The children are on holiday and sometimes they are subjected to different forms of harassment, torture, and violence which, in turn, make them hostile. Remember to care for your families in a manner the glorifies God. Avoid things that bring shame to you as an individual, church and the country at large.

Last but not least, allow me to interest you in the different Cathedral programmes as we come to the end of the year.
• On 24th December 2022, at 6pm we have Candlelight Service
• Christmas Services on 25th December (8:00am, 10:00am and 12:00pm)
• The Youth Camp will kick off on December 28 to January 2, 2022
• Prophetic Praise and Prayer from 26-31 December
• On New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2022), Crossover Night Prayers will start at 6pm.

Finally, we are grateful for all your persistent contributions towards ACP. The ceiling works are starting in January 2023. We appeal to you to mobilize your families and friends to contribute towards the finishes of our Cathedral.
The team at the Cathedral and I wish you joyful Christmas celebrations and a Christ-Centered New Year 2023.

The Very Rev. Canon Dr. Rebecca Nyegenye
