Praise God Brethren! The previous Sunday the Preacher of the day Mr. Stephen Langa shared on the Topic Establishing Godly Families with reference from Titus 2:1-8 & Matthew 18:1-5. He clarified that a Family is a unique institution that God created and ordained that is under attack today. During our dispensation, God has given us the opportunity as a Church and Nation to reflect on family which has degenerated over the years such that we can have the desire to mend and restore our families. (Leviticus 25:10). The Family therefore is the last
frontier that holds the Nation together As goes the Family; So goes the Nation.
He cautioned that if we don’t get the foundations right then the generations to come will be greatly damaged as a result. Therefore the Church and Nation ought to take time and due diligence to get the foundations right.
Why godly families?
• Families is a place where you get security/ unconditional love; and
• It is a place that provides a support base to which everyone seeks, comfort and encouragement.
How do you establish godly Families?
Marriage is the foundation of a godly family on whose basis the husband and wife relate together as God ordained them to live. A husband was created to be a leader in the family and the wife created to be a significant helper as illustrated below by the Preacher:
The Preacher called upon Husbands living in the Camp of a small (g) to switch to capital (G) Husband. The young men and women ought to take their time in making one of the most important decisions in choosing their future partners because it is a Covenant to be kept. It MUST therefore not to be rushed.
