“Regardless of your short comings, God can still use you; what He needs is you to submit to His will.”_ Rev. Moses Ahimbisibwe

May the name of the LORD be praised! The previous Sunday Rev. Moses Ahimbisibwe preached to the three (3) congregations on the topic: “Jeremiah _ Called before his birth” drawing references from Jeremiah 1:4-19 and Luke 1:11-17! First and foremost, He informed the congregations that Jeremiah was called at a difficult time when King Josiah’s reformation had failed because people continued in their corrupt nature and worshipped Idols, the Leaders also had rejected God’s Law and this led to the following consequences as mentioned.
• Jerusalem city was destroyed (Lost it’s Identity); the Temple was ruined and the presence of God departed from them; people were captured and carried off into exile as slaves. Rev. Moses pointed out that there are many people enslaved by witchcraft, alcoholism etc. for sin enslaves, torments and destroys therefore in this act of mess, God calls Jeremiah as messenger of revival and restoration.
The purpose of Jeremiah’s calling is elaborated in (Jeremiah 1:10) “See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
• The first pair:- to uproot and teardown means the need to raise a Godly generation therefore as an individual, family, Church and Nation there’s need to first deal with foundations like traditions, systems and cultures which are contarly to God’s will by uprooting and tearing them.
• Then there is need to destroy and overthrow any attachment to sin or wicked systems, traditions and cultures and thus after destructions of all bondages; God would lead his people in a new future, a new covenant and a new hope through building and planting new systems.
• God is ready to restore Godliness in the Families, Church, Nation be it the [Legislature, Executive and Judiciary] and in all sectors.

•Just like Jeremiah, many of us struggle to take on new challenges because of lack of self-confidence, inadequate experience yet when God calls you; he fully equips and empowers you. (V5)

Rev. Moses stressed out some of the lessons we draw from Jeremiah’s call.
a) We are all special and created in the image of God (V5). When He calls us, He sets us apart for his divine work such as, being pastors, business people, politicians, musicians, among others. (Jeremiah 29:11)
b) Assurance of God’s presence (V8) therefore we shouldn’t fear any Godly assignment since He has promised to be with us.
c) God empowers those He calls, and gives them authority to accomplish his mission. (Ask your self-What is God’s Mission for me or through me?) we ought to live in Obedience to God (Vs 17) just like Jeremiah who was established as a fortified city (Vs 18-19) and at the end of it all, God granted him victory. Therefore as christians Let us surrender to the authority of Christ to be agents of transformation in places where He has called us.

Guiding Questions and Prayer Items.
1) Reflecting on the above message, as a Cell let every member point out the Specific area(s) that God has called them to. What have you done or doing about it? You can as well share how the Lord enabled you overcame your faulty foundations, fears and excuses. (This could be in line with your Career, Family, Work place, Church or Nation)
2) God is seeking for a transformed generation today! To stand up against evil and bring transformation. As a Cell, prayerfully reflect on 2Peter 1:3-11 and seek God’s divine plan for your Life, Family Church and Nation.
