Text: Matthew 3:1-17.
Today’s reading relates to Jesus and His ministry through the lenses of John the Baptist. Note that what the voice from heaven talked about Jesus Christ, was not said about anyone else and no wonder we see Jesus Christ as our Hero. The triune God, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit was present at Jesus Christ’s baptism.
What is your relationship with this great Personality, Jesus Christ, as described by Isaiah 9: 6? Reflect on verse 17, what does it teach you?
Almighty God, teach me how to see and understand the ‘heroic’ deeds done for us by Jesus Christ. For I pray in Your name Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.
