Text: Psalm 136:1-26
Love changes everything. The most powerful truth that will change you is that the love of God for you is limitless and changeless. He has promised to love you from all eternity! No sin, no mistake, no social status; not even poverty can change that! Once you grasp that with a deep faith, it will cause you to be a thankful person. In fact, you will be thankful in all circumstances, regardless of how dire it looks to the world around you.

This Psalm was sung responsively; which means that two parties sung these wonderful truths back to each other in worship. This shows that our personal, private thankfulness will work its way out to the community that we are called to serve and worship with. No Christian is ever asked to live out their life alone, for we enjoy His presence and change together! The love of God which endures forever is to be known, shared, and experienced by all those called out by His love. The world will know who we really and truly are by this one key behavior –brotherly love (John 13:35).

Meditate on verse 4. What is God teaching you in this verse?
Almighty and loving Father, in the name of our Lord and Saviour of Jesus Christ, I prayerfully thank You for Your great miracle of salvation, offering my own personal gratitude, for saving me with praise and
thanksgiving. Amen.
