Wednesday, 1st September 2021. Use every opportunity to teach your children
Text: Deuteronomy 6: 4-25
Parents are urged to use every opportunity to teach their children that there is One God (vv.6-7). Children should be taught about God and to believe in Him at all times. The teaching should be deliberate so that it is transferable to the coming generations.
Our children should know that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed to all nations in the name of Jesus Christ (Luk. 24:47).
Parents should bear witness! They should be saved themselves, for one cannot teach what he does not know, give what he does not have.
Meditate on verses 6-7. How are you going to apply them to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help parents to teach their children how to worship and relate with God. Amen
