Text: Psalm 129:1-8
We are promised that if you are faithful to Christ, you will suffer persecution. Not an attractive way to promote the Gospel, is it? But the way of the Cross may indeed have dark days ahead planned for you. When those days come, you must remind yourself of the truth that “God works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed” (Psalm 103:6). And when it is our turn to be liberators, we must also commit ourselves to the task that the Lord may choose to use us as; His tools for liberation! Because God is righteous to the very core of His being, he will rescue and redeem those who experience abuse and oppression. We must hold on to this truth when we are facing the injustices in this world, and confront them when given an opportunity. We bless the Lord for His faithfulness to the oppressed. Pray for others to know the same freedom that you have in Christ!

Meditate on verse 2. What is God teaching you in this verse?
Our righteous and loving heavenly Father, I pray for all who suffer injustices in the world and pray that by Your power, my enemies will not prevail over me. Amen.
