Text: Jeremiah 7:1-15
This Chapter introduces us to Jeremiah’s first temple sermon (v.2); the second one will be in chapter 26. God’s anger is aroused by the sins mentioned in vv.6, 19 and where His temple has become a den of thieves (v.11). The people are
relying on the words of false prophets; that God will not bring destruction on His own temple (v. 4). Instead, God points them to Shiloh where the tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant were; yet He allowed the Philistines to destroy it (v.12, 1Sam 4).
You cannot claim to be saved and continue to live in sin, and think that the Lord will spare you. Our God is Holy, He cannot associate with Sin. Walk in repentance as you obey the Holy Spirit.

Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Our Lord and the Father of all blessings, I thank You for always giving us another chance to repent, we surrender our lives to You, starting with mine, so that we may worthily praise and glorify Your name. This I pray in the name of Your Son and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
