Text: Romans 13: 1-14.
“Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed,” verse 7 (ESV). It is very important for you as a Christian to pay taxes to the authorities. This honors the Lord. Sometimes some people develop excuses that the government does not provide adequate services like medical and security, therefore they feel they should not pay taxes.

Remember two wrongs cannot make any right. Therefore from the money you earn, diligently pay taxes that are due on it.

Reflect on verse 7, how are you going to apply it to your life and your family?

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for government to manage well all the taxes collected to benefit the citizens. This will encourage people to pay the taxes. I pray that the economy of this country will improve so that people may prosper. Amen.
