Text: Exodus 11:1-10.
The Lord promises Moses to bring one more plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt.
This tenth and last plague will bring Pharaoh to his senses. He will then be forced to drive the children of Israel out of Egypt. (v.1). The children of Israel are assured of plundering the Egyptians (3:22). The tenth and last plague, will cause the death of all the first borns of Egyptians and their animals, including the first born of Pharaoh, the crown prince (vs 5). The first born represented several special qualities including that of life and strength (Gen. 49:3). It carried religious, social, dynastical and political significance. While there was turmoil and grief among the Egyptians, not even a dog barked in the Israelite territory (v.7). In Christ, we do not fear what others fear.

Meditate on verse 7. What is God teaching you in this verse?

My heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, let every one know that You are leading and fighting for Your Church. Amen.
