Text: Jeremiah 22:1-10
The Lord through Prophet Jeremiah tells the Kings of Judah to repent and do justice to the people. That would be the beginning of rebuilding the nation (v.3). It called for turning from evil and do right. To live right is to live in obedience to God as guided by the Holy Spirit.

When the King Josiah died people began to mourn for him; but they were told not to, instead they were asked to mourn for his son Jehoahaz who had been taken captive in Egypt (v.10). Note that dying saints like Josiah should be envied while living sinners should be pitied. You will only be a saint if you receive and believe in Jesus Christ.

Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that You endow me with an obedient heart, a heart that listens and is led by the Holy Spirit moment by moment. Amen.
