Text: Ezekiel 46:1-24
There were three major feasts each year: the Passover, the day of Atonement, and the feast of Booths. There was also the Sabbath day, the fourth commandment, the weekly day of worship and rest, which the Lord still requires of us today. The prince was the leader of these festivals, and he provided the sacrifices and offerings for the nation.

The feasts of Israel pointed to Christ, instructed them about Him, and are fulfilled in/by Him. Jesus is our Passover Lamb who was sacrificed to deliver us from our bondage to sin. His death secured our atonement, when He paid the death penalty for our sin. Jesus Christ is also our eternal home.

Meditate on verse 16. What is God teaching you in this verse? What is the difference between a gift given to a son and one given to a servant?

Our heavenly and loving Father, in the name of our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ, I thank You for accepting me through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. I gratefully receive Your gracious free gift of salvation. Amen.
