Text: Nehemiah 9:1-38.
“Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners.
They stood in their places and confessed their sins and wickedness of theirfathers,” verse 2 [NIV]. You need to separate yourself from the ungodly people or environment as you seek the Lord your God. You cannot afford to mix God with other things. Separate yourself from all burdens of this world and follow Christ.
What are the things that you need to separate yourself from as you seek God? Meditate on verse 2. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to separate from those pleasures of this world that draw my attention away from You. Amen.
