Text: Psalm 81:1-16
This Psalm was designed to be used in celebration especially during the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Feast of Booths and Sukkot, was the seventh and last feast that the Lord commanded Israel to observe and one of the three feasts that the Jews were to observe each year by going to “…appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses…” (Deut. 16:16, NKJV). Let us trust the Lord that He will forgive us and feed us on “…honey from the rock…” (v.16), meaning giving us valuable food from unlikely sources, as He makes a way for us where there seems to be no way.
Meditate on verses 10 and 16. What is God teaching you in these verses?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive me where I have underestimated Your power to save. Feed me from the unlikely sources. Amen.
