Thursday, 9th December 2021. That Jesus Christ would be worshiped by Shepherds
Text: Psalm 72:1-9
King Solomon prophesied that the Messiah would be worshiped at birth (v.9). That the desert tribes, who rarely heard the news, would hear the good news of the Redeemer. That those who were once His enemies will lick the dust; will be under His rule.
The prophecy was fulfilled when the shepherds went to see the new born Messiah (Luke 2:12; 15-17). The shepherds glorified and praised God upon seeing baby Jesus Christ (Luke 2:20). It is only in Christ that you can truly praise and glorify God.
Meditate on Luke 2:20. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, may You be praised and glorified in me. Amen.
