Text: Jeremiah 4:1-16.
You can come back to the Lord only when you genuinely turn away from your sins by embracing the righteousness of Jesus Christ, justice and truth (v. 1-2).
Israel is told to break up the fallow ground and to circumcise their hearts as signs of genuine and sincere repentance (v. 3-4). True repentance is from the heart not emotions (Rom. 10:9).
Meditate on verse 1. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Merciful Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, today I choose to return to You in true repentance; cleanse me with the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
