Texts: Psalm 119:129-144; Jeremiah 31:18.
“My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep your law”, verse 136 (ESV). Let us be zealous for God’s law. Do not laugh over evil instead mourn and turn to God for help. Watch and pray. When you see people treating Sunday like any other day, then you should feel sorrowful. When Church leaders do not emphasise the need to observe Sunday as the Lord’s Day, then you should feel hurting.
Reflect on verse 136, how are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive us as nation for we have become weak and evil has surrounded us: child sacrifice, corruption, tribalism, and idolatry. Father cleanse our land. Amen
