Text: Isaiah 35:1-10
While the luxuries of Edom, a representative of nations that oppose God’s agenda, will be ruined by God’s judgement (34:1-17), in this chapter we are told that during the messianic rule (Messianic period or age is the future period of time on earth in which the Messiah [the anointed one – Christ] will reign and bring universal peace and brotherhood, without any evil [Isaiah 2:4;11:6-9]), everything will flourish and the weak will be encouraged (vv.1-4). The eyes of the redeemed shall see, the lame leap, the dumb tongue sing, springs run in patched land, highways opened and the Lord glorified (vv.5-8). You are redeemed only when you accept Jesus Christ your Saviour and Lord.
Meditate on verses 1-4. What is God teaching you in these verses?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, may this country turn to worship You and glorify Your name. May we all see Your glory in this land. Amen.
