Text: Psalm 130: 1-8.
“O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption,” verse 7 (ESV).The nation of Israel was called upon to repent and have hope in the Lord. This applies to us today. We need to call and be called as families, or communities or as a nation to have hope in the Lord. Many challenges like wars, hatred, diseases, witchcraft, politics and leadership can make us lose hope. However, let us hope in God whose love is steadfast and whose redemption over flows.

Reflect on verse 7, what encouragement is God giving you in this verse?
How are you going to apply it to your family and community?

Father, I pray for many who are in hopeless situations like the refuges, prisoners, orphans, widows, the old and the unemployed that they will trust and have hope in You. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
