Text: Jeremiah 11:1-12
It is thought that Jeremiah prophesied this part of the Book either when the Book of Law was found during King Josiah (2 Kings 22: 8-10) or, later at the time of his second son King Jehoiakim, when Israel was unfaithful to the Law.
Prophet Jeremiah announces to Judah and Jerusalem inhabitants that whoever does not obey God’s covenant be cursed (v.3). The curses had been properly stipulated in Deut. 27:15-26. To break God’s covenant had dire consequences; but Israelites hardened their hearts and the prescribed curses came upon them
(v.8).
It is important for you to listen to the Word of God which is all about the redemption of mankind through Jesus Christ (Luk. 24:44, 47). Receive and believe in Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit to guide you moment by moment.

Meditate on verse 7. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Our Lord and Gracious Father, I pray that You endow me with a living heart that yearns for and obeys Your Word. Amen.
