Text: Psalm 111:1-10
It is important to note that this Psalm glorifies the Lord because of His works and character (vv. 1-9a). Let us praise God because of His creation. The formation of nature should compel you to praise God (v.2). We should also praise God
because of His character (vv.2-3). He is glorious, Majestic, Righteous, Upright and Just. Our God is compassionate and His love endures forever (v. 4b). He is faithful and does not change, He is reliable.

The Psalm also glorifies God out of reverence for Him (vv. 9b-10). That our God is awesome (v. 9), means He is to be feared. To fear God does not mean to be afraid of Him, but to have reverence for Him. The word “reverence”, means
that we recognise God’s greatness against our own smallness. What a miracle for you and me to relate with God, the Creator of the seen and the unseen!

You relate with God only through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Meditate on verse 10. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that my family members and I will have reverence for You. Amen.
