Text: Mark 12:1-12
As we continue to study this chapter; we are comforted with the Parable of the Wicked Husbandmen. The planter of the vineyard is God; the vineyard is the nation of Israel; the vinedressers are religious leaders of Israel; the servants are the prophets, who stayed faithful to God; the son is Jesus Christ; the others are the Gentiles. Through this parable, Jesus Christ exposed the plot by religious leaders to kill Him. They were supposed to bring people to God, but they did not, instead they were jealous of Jesus Christ, plotting to get rid of Him.

Jesus Christ told them that, He was the cornerstone that the builders rejected (v. 10). The corner stone would make the base for, proper alignment of other stones for the building to keep the foundation straight and well-levelled. Indeed Jesus Christ is the foundation of the church, and whoever is on this foundation is firm and straight.

Meditate on verse 10. What is God teaching you on this verse?

Our Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ, I prayerfully thank You for being my foundation. In You I cannot be shaken. I pray that You heal our divisions and re-establish the Church with You as the One foundation.
I pray this in Your Almighty name. Amen.
