Text: Ephesians 2:11-22.
Human families are extremely important, but not more important than the family of God. God is our Father, and we Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ, related because of what Jesus accomplished for us (His life, death, and resurrection), and because we are united to Jesus by faith. Just as we would love our earthly parents and siblings, so we must love our Heavenly Father and our spiritual siblings; fellow believers.
Reflect on verse 19, what encouragement do you get from this verse? How does one become a citizen of heaven, a member of household of God.
Father, I pray for the many people who have not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Father, draw them to Yourself to the glory of Your name. in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
