Genesis 3:15-19.
In punishing Adam and Eve, God introduced pain in each of the original roles. For example, Adam would face thorns and thistles as he tills the land. Eve would still bear children but in pain, see verses 16 and 18. ”Your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you” meaning , in the process of Eve trying to usurp the leadership role of Adam, Adam will be harsh to his wife Eve, bringing in pain and conflict in relationship that was formerly peaceful and harmonious.
Reflect on 16 and 18, what is God teaching you in these verses? How are you going to apply verse 19 in your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give me the ability to work hard for myself, family, and the community around me, especially the Church of Jesus Christ. Soften my heart towards my wife and people l interact with Amen.
