Text: Matthew 23:1-26.
“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law-justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things,” verse 23, (LASB). As a family you need to practice justice, mercy and faith in the community. Let your family be a blessing to the community, not one that causes pain to others. You imagine your family involving in grabbing land from the poor and helpless people in the community. As a family be a steward of justice, and mercy.
Reflect on verse 23, what are you learning from this verse, and how are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help us as a family to practice justice and mercy in our community. Let the people see Your
faithfulness to us. Let our faith in You be contagious. Amen.
