Text: Jude
Jude was encouraging the Jewish Christians and indeed all of us that we must contend earnestly for the faith (v.3). At his time false preachers were misleading many from hearing the true gospel. To contend earnestly for the faith is a call to sound doctrine (Eph 4:14; Col 3:16; 1Peter 2:2), discernment in order to differentiate between truth and error (1Thess 5:20-22) and the willingness to confront and attack error. Do not be a passive Christian.

Jude reminded the people that apostasy had been predicated by the apostles long ago (v 17-18). So even when you see the mess we are in today of wrong teaching do not be alarmed but be equipped with the Word of truth. Study the Word diligently so as to resist false teachers.

Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus, help us to contend against wrong teaching of Your Word in love. Amen.
