Text: Jeremiah 20:7-18

Jeremiah called and commissioned by God; his ministry was not popular. He cried out in anguish and sometimes with praise (vv7-18). He got moments of depression especially at times when he was clamped in painful stocks and wished to curse the day he was born (v.14). At some point he questioned the wisdom of God and the purpose for which he was born (vv. 15, 18). However, sometimes he could feel the presence of God (v.11).
The message of the cross is in many times unpopular; however, we should take heart and get encouragement from the Lord. Jesus Christ promised to be with us until the end of the age (Mat. 28:20).
Meditate on verse 11. How are you going to apply it to your life?

Almighty and everlasting Father, we thank You for Your promise to be with
us always. Forgive and draw us into fellowship with You. In the name of Jesus Christ we have prayed. Amen.
