Text: Matthew 10:40-42.
“Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward…,” verses 40-41. (ESV). If you receive Jesus Christ, then you will have received God, the one who sent Him. And you will receive a reward equivalent to that of the prophet, Jesus Christ. You are rewarded with a place in the Kingdom of God as co-heir with Jesus Christ. If you prophetically proclaim the Kingdom of God, the Bible promises a reward.
Reflect on verses 40 and 41, what is God teaching you in these verses?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for people to receive Your true messengers and accept Your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. I pray that You will raise missionaries in Your harvest field. Amen.
