Text Luke 14: 12-24.
“But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just,” verses 13-14 (ESV). As a Christian and a disciple of Jesus Christ, use your resources especially finances to bless those who are physically handicapped and poor. Many times we tend to associate with those who are rich and the rich associating only with those in the same circle. It is high time that you became generous toward the poor and physically impaired. Even you who think that you have little, give out of your meager means (2 Corinthians 8:2-3) and share with your neighbours. You are just a steward of what you have, with the help of the Holy Spirit, pass it on to God’s people and His mission.
Reflect on verses 13 and 14, how are you going to apply those verses to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to be generous to those who are in need, especially the physically impaired. Amen.
