Text: Ruth 4:1-22
Naomi who returned empty from Moab, preferred to be called Mara (bitter) instead of Naomi (sweet) (20-21). However, God made her full again (vv. 14-17). Ruth, once a fugitive, beggar, widow and stranger in a foreign land
is given the greatest honour of being one of the ancestors of David and Jesus Christ (vv. 18-22).
You may think that you have lost it all, but in Christ alone you are made full again. Obey the Holy Spirit, receive and believe in Jesus Christ and you will be made full again (2 Cor. 5:17). You realise that in her struggles and faithfulness, God was preparing for the birth of David and that of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who takes away the Sin of the world (John 1:29).

Meditate on verse 11. What elders are you in fellowship with? What is this verse teaching you?
Oh Lord and heavenly Father, give us trustworthy elders to speak Your word afresh into our lives. In Your Mighty Name, I pray this. Amen.
