Apostle John rejoiced greatly on hearing that Gaius was observing and practicing the fundamentals of Christian faith as observed in 3 John (v.3). Gaius was exemplary for his talk matched the walk. He practiced what he preached (3 John
v.4). Gaius’s actions were in sharp contrast to that of Diotrephe, whose reputation was very negative (v.9). Now that you know the basic fundamentals of Christ’s living, practice them for your own sake and the body of Christian living.
Meditate on verse 6. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to encourage and support the body of Christ as we all advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen.
