Texts: Isaiah 58:13-14; Luke 4:14-19.
“…as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read,” verse 16 (ESV).You need to follow Jesus’
example. Let it be your custom to join other Christians every Sunday and any other designated day of the week for public worship. If Jesus Christ, God the Son Himself, could see it important to worship His Father, then how about you? Do not develop excuses not to participate in public worship every Sunday.
Reflect on verse 16, what is God teaching you in this verse, and how are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for the many who take public worship lightly to repent. Let every one be encouraged to join others on Sunday for public worship to the glory of Your name.
