Text: Luke 6:20-26.
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on the account of the Son of Man!,” verse 22. (ESV). As you serve the Lord diligently be sure you will be hated because you are different from the rest. The difference comes from the righteousness of Christ on you. The Pharisees hated Jesus Christ because His righteousness was far above theirs. He was different. Remember not every glitter is an attribute of righteousness,
the suffering considered is only “on account of the Son of Man.”
Reflect on verse 22, what is God teaching you in this verse? How are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for strength to stand firm as I serve You. I pray that I will only be hated on the account of serving Jesus Christ, not for my sins. Amen.
