Saturday, 11th December 2021. That Jesus Christ would be a cornerstone that would be rejected
Text: Psalm 118:1-29.
The Lord had chosen Israel as a cornerstone in His plan for the world, but the world powers of the time underrated Israel (vv.22-23). Yet this was purely God’s doing. A cornerstone was in the foundation against which
the whole building was to be set up.
Israel, as the cornerstone, that the world powers had rejected, was pointing to the real Cornerstone, Jesus Christ, who was rejected by earthly rulers of His time, but was exalted to the right hand of God (1 Peter 2:6-8). Receive Christ today and have eternal life.
Meditate on 1 Peter 2:6. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, may all my family members and friends receive Christ as their Saviour and Lord. Amen.
