Text: Psalm 124:1-8
Four times in the Psalm, our God is called “the Lord”, which is translated from the word ‘Yahweh’. Yahweh is the special name known by God’s people that He is their Covenant-keeping God. Here in an amazing miraculous rescue, Yahweh keeps His covenant and protects His people in a way that made His power obvious.

Yahweh is always on our side, because we are kept in perfect relationship with Him through Christ our Lord. Since the maker of heaven and earth is permanently connected and committed to us in Christ, we will always have His powerful help. So, there is no reason to fear! Praise the Lord, that He does not (and never will) allow our enemies to tear us apart!

Meditate on verse 2 and 3. What is God teaching you in these verses?
Almighty and loving Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for fighting all my wars and giving me victory whenever my enemies rise against me. Amen.
