Text: Job 1:6-12.
“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them”, verse 6. Satan
is a Hebrew word, meaning ‘adversary’ an opponent of God and His people. Satan opposes the will of God. Satan was originally an angel of God but became corrupt through pride and deception [Gen. 13: 1-6]
However, he is limited by God, and can do only what he is permitted [Luke 22:31]. If you are committed to God, be sure you are Satan’s
target. Thank God, in Christ we are more than conquerors.
Reflect on verse 6, what is God teaching you in this verse
Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross that washed away my sins. Thank You for defeating the
devil, Satan, on the cross. In Christ I am more than a conqueror. Amen.
