Text: Matthew 5:21-26.
“So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift,” (verses 23-24).
There are many people who hate each other but still come to receive Holy Communion and offer gifts to God cheerfully. Unfortunately, when they come out from the church, they continue with the life of hatred and bitterness against those who hurt them. The way we relate with others, affects our worship as well as God’s response to our giving.
Reflect on verses 23-24, how are you going to apply them in your life?
Lord God, grant that my gifts will be a true representation of my contrite heart. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
