Text: Hebrews 5: 1-10.
“In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence”, verse 7. As a Christian, many times you will face trials not because you want to suffer but to test your obedience to God. This calls you to pray earnestly without ceasing. Let us learn from Jesus Christ, God Himself, but prayed earnestly to His Father as He prepared to suffer humiliation, separation from His Father and death on the cross so that you and I may be saved.

Reflect on verse 7, how do you want to respond to Jesus Christ, prayer and supplication with loud cries and tears? How are you going to apply verse 9 to your life?

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I am humbled. Who am I that You should cry out loudly so that I gain eternal life? I desire to
worship You always. Amen.
