Text: Judges 20:1-48
Because of the strange event of Chapter 19, Israel fights against Benjamin and thousands are killed. God is not absent or unable to prevent this.

All this needs to be understood as discipline from the Lord. Sin causes separation from God and from other people. When Adam sinned, he chose death – he was separated from God (death) and from Eve. Israel continued in their rebellion against God, and they even kill one another. Such events occur so that we would know why God sent a Saviour.
Infighting must not be among Christians. Jesus accomplished His earthly ministry to bring God’s people back to Himself.

And if each of us is united to Christ; so, we should love one another, not fight each other. If you or your church is having problems in your relationships with other believers, pray that God will put things right. Then you need to behave toward other Christians with propriety. And if we love each other, the world will take note and want to know about our work of strength to the Lord. Then we can tell them about Jesus.

Meditate on verse 18. How are you going to apply it in your life?
Almighty and ever-loving Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that You teach me Your will and bless me to always inquire from You in all situations; I also pray that You send Your Holy Spirit afresh upon us so we can live together in unity as the body of Christ. Amen.
