Text: Psalm 94: 1-23
This Psalm mainly speaks of two things: 1. Judgement and agony to the persecutors (vv: 1-11), 2. Encouragement and peace to those being persecuted (vv. 12-23), through God’s promise, and also through the testimony of the Psalmist. The Psalmist is also concerned about the oppression of the righteous and the prosperity of the wicked, having a feeling that God does not care (v.3).
God cares! This prompts the Psalmist to pray to God so that He punishes the wicked (v.2). Our response to Him at all times is to go to God in prayer through His only Son, Jesus Christ.
Meditate on verse 22. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that You will always be my defense and the rock of my refuge. Amen.
