Text: Esther 10:1-3.
Mordecai was once a man who stood at, and could not be allowed beyond the gate, God raised him up to become second in command of the vast Persian Empire (8:9). The secret was; he honoured God, he maintained he was of a Jewish identity even when it meant his death (3:4). Mordecai was great because he was not greedy, he thought of the welfare of the people he led and peace for all (v.3).
Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life and community?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray that I will seek the welfare of the people I lead and strive to be a peacemaker. Amen.
