Text: Psalm 115:1-18
This Psalm was sung after Israel had returned from captivity. It was first sung on the day they dedicated the second temple (cf Ezra 6:16). To appreciate the trustworthiness of God as per this Psalm, we must embrace these three things:
First, we should appreciate that our God is quite different (vv. 1-8) from idols that are seen (v. 2), instead our God is in heaven, (v. 3) meaning that He is not far from the people but is ruler overall. Secondly we should rely on Him alone (vv. 9-15) for Him alone is the Maker of heaven and earth (v. 15). Thirdly we should praise Him (vv. 16-18), and we should praise Him today when we still have breath (v. 17), tomorrow is a mystery.

Meditate on verse 2. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, for You are unseen God yet very active with Your children. Thank You for revealing this mystery to me. Amen.
