Monday, 15th November 2021. A leader keeps the purpose of the vision before the people
Text: Nehemiah 12:1-26
Nehemiah’s vision was to build the wall; but the purpose was to help the people regain their focus on worshipping their God (v.27). Otherwise, they could finish the wall and then begin trading inside the walls. So, people should know the purpose of the vision and the leader should keep it on their face.
Jesus Christ our Hero in this regard, after giving the vision of baptizing and teaching to make disciples, the purpose was and is to redeem people from sin (John 3:16). The purpose is to show that God so loved the world by giving His Son, and whoever believes in the Son will be saved. This is the purpose behind baptizing and teaching.
Meditate on John 3:16. How are you going to apply it to your life?
