1 Samuel 14:1-52
Jonathan was a man of faith, as well as a warrior. He suggested to his armor bearer that they go up to a Philistine fort and consider if perhaps Yahweh was going to use just the two of them to defeat some of the enemy. According to Jonathan’s word, Yahweh did give them victory. The Israelites were encouraged by this act; so, they also fought against the enemy. Yahweh gave a great deliverance that day.

Jesus, the Son of God, entered the enemy stronghold to engage in battle. Jesus came into our world, which God created (but where Satan made himself Prince), and Jesus defeated all the enemies. Like the people of Israel gathered together to fight, let us also join the spiritual warfare in one mind and one body. Do not yield to temptation; do not let go of Jesus; and live according to the Word of God (Eph, 6:12-17).

Meditate on verse 1. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Our Lord and Mighty Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I choose to trust You always and in all situations. Amen.
