Text: Galatians 5:16-26.
“For desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do,” (verse 17). Avoid teachings where self, I, me, myself, is glorified.
A little prayer for yourself, your good health, financial breakthrough miracles, me, me and so on. Even in some choruses you sing innocently are promoting self. Any teaching that promotes self satisfaction is of flesh and evil and should be avoided.
As a Christian, you are in spiritual war fare. You dare not make a party on a battle field. Just run away from hollow and manipulative promises from those so- called “men and women of God”.
Reflect on verse 17, what is God teaching you in this verse and how are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, kill all the desires of the flesh in me. Amen.
