Praise God Brethren! In reference to Psalm 139:1-18, the Psalmist acknowledges the handy work of the LORD in creation and says “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;”[Vs 14]. We are fearfully and wonderfully created by Him in the Image of God (Imago Dei) and also Known by Him. We are all original not a photocopy of someone else no matter what others say about you. We should desist from comparing ourselves with other people. In that stature, you are fearfully and wonderfully made implying that God took time to make us and He is involved in every person’s life right from the very beginning and thus we are all special before Him [vs 13].

We ought to be appreciative to God for making us a master piece of His creation, and thus He has a purpose for us like He did for the psalmist. God knows and discerns our thoughts, He searches our hearts and He is Omnipresent. Even in trouble, He is ever present. However, His wrath can be a disaster to us if we do not live upright.

Whether you are disabled, young or old, rich or poor, black or white, big or small, short or tall, in the womb or on your death bed, we are so precious before God. We are fearfully and wonderfully made and above all other creatures; we are declared good and only created by God’s hand (The Trinity); for all creation was by His word. He made us in His own image (Character and Nature) . He breathed in us and we became a living soul.

These are things that God declares as being special before Him; Made in God’s image, Chosen before the foundations of the earth, Adopted through Jesus Christ our saviour, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who equips and enables us to do good works, forgiven and not condemned through Christ, we are seated with Christ, He knit us together in our mother’s womb, He truly loves us, we are free in Jesus Christ to worship and enjoy His presence, free from bondage and secure in Him, No need to forge our way in or out, therefore no need to bleach our skin since he knew us even before conception.

As Christians, may we always live to appreciate who we are for us to have life in its fullness.

Questions and Guidelines
1) Have you ever taken time to appreciate and ponder about yourself of how God created you? If Yes briefly share your testimony.

2) If Not! What are those fears hindering you or other people from praising God for who you/they are?
3) Prayerfully bring those fears to God and purpose to always praise Him for who you are.
